Butterfly Effect
This is my note during Youth at my church last Friday. Steve MacDonald brought the message. I hardly share my church notes here but this one's really spoke to me and.. this is my blog so I could post any stuffs I like.
Are you chasing the perfect life?
You know how's the Ashton Kutcher's movie, "Butterfly Effect" right. Where he could change a part of his past to create a better present time where everyone's happy. To me at the end it's not really workin.
Life is not perfect, if you're chasing a perfect life you'll get disappointed. Sometimes things go wrong, it's alright. People make mistakes, we all have said something wrong sometimes. It's just something you have to go through. What you have to do is to expect the best BUT be prepare for the worst. When things go wrong, the first one you have to go to is God. God's priority is not for you to live a perfect life. His priority is for you to grow to become more like Him. Sometimes God doesn't answer your prayers or questions or give you what you want. He wants you to be closer to Him, get connected again to Him or maybe learn from your mistakes, He wants you stronger.
We are unique. Why tryin to be normal? WHy tryin to fit into a certain general group of people? God wants us to be abnormal (read: unique). He created you to be you. He created you for a reason. God believes in you, question is "Do you believe in yourself?" Are you brave enough to step out and be the person God wants you & created you to be ?

I loved this post. Reminds me how different we all are. It also makes me laugh about the comment "you're so unique..."
